Singapore Airlines revolutionizes travel: pajamas in Business Class and Byredo fragrances on board

Emeline Dudoura·

A long-haul flight in Business Class will no longer be just about space or reclining seats. Singapore Airlines is poised to revolutionize air travel standards starting November 2026 by introducing pajamas in its premium cabin. A first for a traditional airline, this marks a turning point in high-end travel experiences.

The Singapore-based carrier isn’t stopping there. In addition to these sleepwear offerings, it is completely revamping its amenity kits, partnering with luxury brands like Byredo for Business Class and Sisley for its most exclusive cabins. A strategy aimed at appealing to discerning clients willing to pay for a differentiated experience while reinforcing Singapore Airlines’ image of excellence.

For business travelers accustomed to restless nights in airplane seats, the announcement couldn’t come at a better time. Between overnight flights and jet lag, the need for rest has never been more critical. This innovation could well become a decisive factor in passengers’ booking choices.

Navy-blue pajamas for Business Class, sensory experiences in First and Suites

Starting November 2026, Business Class passengers on flights over six hours will receive a navy-blue pajama set made from a cotton-polyester blend. Two sizes are available, with a loose fit for optimal comfort. The kit includes gray slippers, completing a nighttime ensemble that is both elegant and practical.

In First and Suites, the experience takes luxury to the next level. Passengers will receive 100% cotton dark gray pajamas available in four sizes, along with plush fleece slippers. But it’s the arrival of Sisley, the French luxury cosmetics house, that truly stands out. The amenity kits, available in women’s and men’s versions, will feature products from the Sisleÿa and Sisleÿum lines, along with hand creams, perfumes, and skincare essentials—a world first for an airline.

Lavatories on board and select First Class lounges at Singapore Changi Airport will also feature these exceptional products. A meticulous attention to detail that reinforces the image of a journey without compromise.

Byredo and Sisley on board: when luxury takes flight

Business Class won’t be left behind. For the first time, an airline will offer a perfume spray on board: Byredo’s Blanche Eau de Parfum. This light, refined fragrance will be accompanied by a hand cream, lip balm, sleep mask, socks, and dental kit. A set that transforms the travel kit into a true luxury case.

In Premium Economy, the zippered pouch, made from recycled materials, will feature Singapore Airlines’ iconic batik pattern. It will contain a white tea-scented lip balm from the Australian brand INK & WATER, exclusively offered to the airline’s customers, along with a sleep mask, socks, and a dental kit. A simple yet thoughtful gesture that highlights the attention to detail.

In Economy Class, these accessories will be bundled in a drawstring pouch, also adorned with the batik motif. A touch of uniformity that reflects the airline’s identity while providing a minimum of comfort to travelers.

Special touches for children: plush toys and Disney accessories

Singapore Airlines hasn’t overlooked its family clientele. On flights over five hours, children traveling in Suites, First, or Business Class will receive an upgraded version of the Beary plush toy, larger and softer to the touch. This addition complements the exclusive Toy Story-themed accessories from the collaboration with Disney. Children up to 12 years old can enjoy a bib for babies, a drawstring bag for ages 3-6, and an activity book for older kids.

These small details make all the difference for families, a key segment of Singapore Airlines’ clientele. A strategy aimed at fostering loyalty among this group of travelers while attracting new customers through word of mouth.

A phased rollout before a complete overhaul of the customer experience

The new kits and pajamas won’t be available everywhere from day one. Singapore Airlines plans a phased rollout starting November 2026 on flights over six hours. For pajamas, distribution will cover all long-haul flights, as well as select overnight medium-haul flights exceeding six hours.

This announcement is part of a broader revamp of the travel experience planned for November 2026 in Singapore. Among the upcoming innovations are a new KrisWorld entertainment system, high-speed internet, and refreshed dining options. More than 100 new or revamped dishes and desserts will be available across all classes, with table service designed in partnership with Christofle for Suites, First, and Business Class.

A significant investment for an airline betting on innovation to stand out in an ultra-competitive market. With these changes, Singapore Airlines reaffirms its position as a leader in onboard customer experience.

Why these innovations are a game-changer for travelers

In an industry where competition is fierce, Singapore Airlines is banking on customer experience to differentiate itself. By introducing pajamas and luxury products on board, the Singapore-based carrier isn’t just targeting business travelers but also tourists willing to pay for added comfort. A strategy that could inspire other industry players.

The Byredo and Sisley products, along with personalized accessories, are compelling arguments for attracting affluent clientele. A clientele willing to pay a premium for a journey without compromise, where every detail matters. With these innovations, Singapore Airlines demonstrates its commitment to delivering an unparalleled experience.

Will Singapore Airlines’ gamble pay off?

The success of these innovations will depend on several factors, including the airline’s ability to convince passengers of the added value of these new services. With a phased rollout and targeted communication, Singapore Airlines stands a strong chance of turning these changes into a resounding success.

In the meantime, travelers can already dream of a flight where comfort and luxury converge, where every detail is designed for their well-being. A promise that could well transform Singapore Airlines into an indispensable benchmark for high-end travel.
