A Significant Step Forward for La Blécherette Airport on a Cantonal Scale

Less than two months after being turned down by the federal government, the La Blécherette airfield has seen a positive turnaround at cantonal level. Indeed, the concern raised by Green MP Alice Genoud in September about noise and ecology was not met with an alarmist response from the Conseil d'Etat. The analyses carried out by the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) were deemed sufficient to determine the next course of action.

Disappointments and expectations

  • Palpable disappointment: Alice Genoud expresses her disillusionment at FOCA's perceived stubbornness, even though she recognizes their authority.
  • Call to local action: Alain Faucherre, head of the Swiss Residents' Association, expresses similar dissatisfaction and underlines a strong expectation for a more neutral and serious stance on the part of local authorities.
