JSX keen to acquire Aura Aero's ERA fleet

A promising alliance between JSX and Aura Aero

Toulouse-based aeronautics company Aura Aero could soon be expanding its horizons across the Atlantic, thanks to a potential collaboration with successful regional airline JSX. A pre-agreement has been signed between the two entities, envisaging the purchase of 50 ERA aircraft, a 19-seat regional model with hybrid-electric propulsion, with an option for a further 100 aircraft.

JSX, a booming company

Dallas, Texas-based JSX stands out in the market for its à la carte public charter offering. With routes serving key business centers and tourist destinations across the USA, and extended coverage to Mexico and the Bahamas, JSX is a dynamic presence in the regional air transport sector. Its arrogant fleet currently comprises 47 twin-engine Embraer ERJ series aircraft, supported by a workforce of over 1,200 employees.

A revolutionary control system for hybrid-electric aviation

By integrating ERAs into its fleet, JSX is positioning itself as a forerunner in the adoption of hybrid-electric aviation. The company plans to revolutionize access to reliable air travel for smaller communities in the USA. The ERA aircraft are scheduled to enter service in 2028, marking a major step forward for community travel in the USA.

A growing order book

The draft agreement with JSX consolidates the portfolio of pre-orders for the ERA, bringing the total to almost 500 units. This figure illustrates the growing market interest in Aura Aero's innovative aeronautical solutions, estimated to be worth around $8 billion.

Expansion prospects for Aura Aero

According to Jérémy Caussade, co-founder of Aura Aero, this partnership marks a new chapter in the company's development in the USA. The Toulouse-based company, already in the process of strengthening its American team, is actively preparing for further industrial expansion in the US. Aura Aero's management team is enthusiastic about this promising new challenge.
