easyJet links London-Stansted to Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle, boosting cross-Channel service

Marc Leonelli·

The airline easyJet inaugurates a new direct link between two major European capitals: London-Stansted and Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle. This new twice-weekly service is designed to boost tourism and business exchanges between the UK and France.

Since March 6, 2026, easyJet has been offering a twice-weekly connection. Frequencies are scheduled on Thursdays and Sundays for the month of March, before changing to Mondays and Fridays during the summer season. This flexible fare and timetable is aimed at both business travellers and tourists planning short stays. Tickets start at £36.99 (around 43 euros), according to information available on the company's website.

easyJet strengthens its presence at London-Stansted

This new route brings to seven the number of connections operated by easyJet from London's Stansted airport. Stansted Airport, owned by Manchester Airports Group (MAG), sees this opening as a further boost to its European connectivity. «We are delighted to see this new flight take off for Paris, a key destination in our growing European network,» says Cairan Brannigan, Commercial Director of London Stansted Airport. He anticipates «great success with business and leisure travellers throughout the region». Historically oriented towards Mediterranean and Central European destinations, Stansted is thus consolidating its position as a hub for North London to the major European capitals, a segment traditionally contested by airlines such as Ryanair and British Airways via other London airports.

An integrated offering with easyJet Holidays

To coincide with this launch, easyJet holidays, the company's integrated tour operator, is offering packages combining flights and hotels in Paris. This simplified, cost-effective offer meets the growing demand in the British market for turnkey holidays. Tourism to France, and Paris in particular, has seen a significant post-Covid recovery. According to Atout France, UK visitor numbers have risen by almost 9% in 2025, driven by the global recovery and prospects linked to cultural and sporting events scheduled for 2026.

Paris remains a top destination for Britons, attracted by its cultural heritage, museums and gastronomy.

Paris, a top destination for British travellers

Despite competition from the train via Eurostar, Paris maintains its status as a preferred destination for British travelers. The French capital's cultural and tourist attractions continue to exert a strong influence. Kevin Doyle, UK Country Manager for easyJet, underlines the importance of this new route: «We are delighted to offer passengers in the region more choice and connectivity at very competitive fares. This new route between two major European capitals is part of our drive to continually expand our network.» The airline targets both tourists and business travellers, for whom London and Paris remain key economic centers.

Strategically positioned among European airports

The new route re-establishes a direct link between Stansted and Charles-de-Gaulle, a connection that had been abandoned in favor of other airports such as Orly or Luton. easyJet thus strengthens its presence in Paris alongside its existing bases at Orly and CDG. The company is consolidating its cross-Channel service against a backdrop of strong recovery in air traffic flows between France and the UK, which according to Eurocontrol are set to grow by 13% in 2025. With over 90 million passengers to be carried by 2025, easyJet continues to expand in the European local segment, a strategic focus as the summer season approaches.

The addition of this route underlines easyJet's strategy of offering direct, competitive connections between European metropolises, responding to growing demand for both tourism and business travel.
