Air France strengthens its Paris-New York airlift with 11 daily flights

By February 10, 2026 11:01 amCompagnies

This summer of 2026, Air France will considerably boost its offer on the Paris-New York route. The airline will offer up to 11 daily flights, operated by itself or in cooperation with Delta Air Lines. This increase in frequency is designed to consolidate the company's position on this major route, which is particularly popular with business and leisure customers.

The route between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and the New York airports of JFK and Newark will see up to 11 daily flights. On the Paris CDG - New York-JFK route, Air France will operate up to 6 flights a day. Four of these rotations will be operated by Boeing 777-300ERs, equipped with the new La Première cabin, complemented by three flights operated by Delta Air Lines. The airline is highlighting its new offer in terms of frequency and comfort.

Newark: a second daily A350 service

Newark airport will benefit from a significant development with the increase from one to two daily flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and New York-Newark from June 1, 2026. These rotations will be operated by Airbus A350-900s, equipped with the new long-haul cabins, including the Business seat with door. This initiative offers passengers greater flexibility, with two separate departure times to Newark and a wide range of connections at Paris-CDG.

The scheduled times for the Paris CDG - Newark route are as follows: AF0062 will take off from Paris at 12:30 for arrival in Newark at 14:45, while AF0064 will leave Paris at 19:45, arriving at 22:00. In the opposite direction, AF0063 will leave Newark at 5.05pm, arriving in Paris at 6.10am the following day, and AF0065 will take off from Newark at 11.55pm, arriving at CDG at 1.10pm the following day.

“New York remains the showcase of our move upmarket, with an unprecedented offer in terms of frequency, comfort and services,” stresses the airline.

Top-of-the-range cabins and free wifi in argument

Air France is focusing on modernizing its cabins to attract premium customers. The presence of La Première suites on certain flights to JFK and the new Business cabin with door on board A350s to Newark aim to position the airline as a benchmark player in the premium transatlantic segment. Investment in on-board comfort and services is a key element of the airline's strategy.

In addition, aircraft serving New York are gradually being equipped with free high-speed wifi. Air France is the first major European airline to offer this service free of charge in all its cabins, using a Starlink-type satellite solution. The aim is to roll out this service across the entire fleet by the end of 2026, with priority given to major markets such as New York.

Seasonal flights to Nice for the Cannes Lions Festival

In June 2026, to coincide with the Cannes Lions Festival, Air France will operate special direct flights between New York-JFK and Nice Côte d'Azur. These flights, to coincide with the Cannes Lions Festival, will be operated by Boeing 777-300ER. They will complement Delta Air Lines' daily service between JFK and Nice, also marketed as a codeshare by Air France.

New York-JFK - Nice rotations are scheduled for June 20 and 21, 2026 (AF043, departing JFK at 4:30pm, arriving Nice 10:35am the following day) and June 25 and 26, 2026 (AF042, departing Nice at 12:00pm, arriving JFK at 3:00pm the same day). These seasonal routes, together with the Los Angeles-Nice special flights announced for May, demonstrate Air France's determination to capitalize on the Cannes Film Festival's influence to attract high-end customers to the Côte d'Azur.

This strategy of strengthening service to New York and developing event-based routes confirms Air France's ambition to consolidate its position in the most buoyant long-haul markets.
