To discover them, you don't need to travel far from the beautiful and friendly city. Here you'll find all the wonderful sights within easy reach of Barcelona airport.

La Sagrada familia

Barcelona's most illustrious monument, the Sagrada Familia is an immense and picturesque unfinished religious temple. Still under construction, this masterpiece has been the work of architect Antoni Gaudí since 1880. This majestic edifice has three symbolic facades (nativity, passion and glory) and will feature 18 towers when completed. Eight of them have already been completed. You can climb some of the towers to enjoy the beautiful view over the city and the outside of the temple.

You'll reach this astonishing building in 30 to 34 minutes (22 km) by bus. On the other hand, if you're taking a cab, shuttle or private car, the journey time will be shorter (around fifteen minutes).

Casa Mila, also known as "La Pedrera

Also designed by Antoni Gaudí (1906 to 1912), this immense building combines modern and Baroque styles. La Pedrera will amaze you with its monumental facade and 33 balconies inlaid with rough-cut stone topped with forged steel. At Casa Mila, you'll enjoy the museum's exhibits and the undulating roof terrace with its breathtaking views over the city. Inside and out, the building's shapes are distinctive and atypical.

From Barcelona airport to La Pedrera, you'll cover a distance of 14 to 16 km.
