As with any country, entering Brazil requires a few essential documents. To enjoy a pleasant stay, you need to know everything about the visas you need.
Tourist visas
First and foremost, all European Union citizens do not need visas to enter Brazil for a period of 90 days (3 months). In this case, the reason for the trip to Brazil is specialized tourism only. For other purposes, you need a special residence permit.
On the other hand, if you are not a resident of an EU member state, you need to apply for a tourist visa. Temporary visas are granted to people wishing to return to Brazil for a period of 90 days. However, this type of permit will be given according to the purpose of your visit to the country. Temporary visas are for health reasons, university studies, religious activities and sport. If you are having difficulty obtaining your residence permit, we recommend that you go to the Brazilian embassy in your country and you have to go directly to the site. In general, you need to bring the same documents as for tourist visas, even if you want to send your files digitally.
The type of permit you need depends on the reason for your trip. If it's for a vacation, apply for a tourist visa, and if it's for other reasons, apply for a temporary visa.
